Mischia Taylor is a passionate person. Born in Shelby, North Carolina, her roots run deep within the community of Cleveland County. Her faith, family and students drive her to succeed. Most recently named the Dean of the Godbold School of Business, Mischia began at Gardner-Webb University working in Graduate Admissions. There she helped to market and recruit for the School of Business graduate programs. In 2012, she became a faculty member within the School of Business teaching both marketing and management classes. Mischia came to GWU from Playground Safety Services, Inc. where she was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. There she led a sales team that covered the entire southeast and created innovative marketing campaigns. A graduate of the MBA program at Gardner-Webb University, it is easy for Mischia to tell others of her love for GWU. She truly feels that GWU is her home away from home. She does not have any plans to stop learning. She is currently enrolled in a Doctorate program at Saint Leo University. She is hands-on in the community, serving on the board for the Junior Charity League of Shelby for more than seven years, working with the March of Dimes, volunteering with the American Red Cross and serving at her church. Most of her free time is dedicated to her family. Mischia and her husband, Greg, have two children, Brycen and Elease.
