Professor Lori Miller brings a real-world perspective into the classroom based on her extensive professional experience. Currently, Professor Miller works as a Course Instructor at Western Governors University, teaching Business Law and Business Ethics. She was an Assistant Professor of Law at Phoenix School of Law and for 7 years taught contracts, business law, and estate planning.
She served on the law school committee responsible for receiving accreditation from the American Bar Association and served as Chair of the Curriculum Committee. Before teaching, she practiced law for twelve years after serving as a law clerk to the 10th Circuit Federal Court of Appeals and receiving a post-doctorate Masters in Law (LL.M.) from New York University. She received her law degree from Arizona State University and her undergraduate degree from Stanford University, B.A. Human Biology.
While in practice, she presented seminars for the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants and had a weekly radio show on KFNN 1510AM, “Business Beyond Law.” She has been active in community service, serving on the Boards of Arizona Women’s Education & Employment, Inc. and Arizona Theatre Company.
