Janel Bell Haynes is an instructor of Marketing, teaching Consumer Behavior, Logistics, and Advertising. Bell-Haynes’ research interests are in the areas of higher education advertising, social media, and collegiate service learning and assessment. Her work has been published in journals such as the International Journal of Business, Marketing, and Decision Sciences. Prior to her work in academics, Bell-Haynes served as the Director of University Relations for Alabama State, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts. Her corporate and governmental experience includes corporate sales for Pitney Bowes and AT&T along with serving as the Deputy Press Secretary for the Governor of Alabama. She is a graduate of Southern University and the University of Akron and is currently enrolled in the Education Leadership Policy and Law Doctoral program at Alabama State University.
