Dr. Germain Pichop, is a Fulbright Scholar, Professor, and Chair of the Department of Economics and Marketing at Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC). He previously served as Chair of the Business Programs and Co-Director of the Center of Excellence in International Business for the same institution. Before joining OCCC, Dr. Pichop worked as a Socio-economic Fellow for the World Vegetable Center (AVRDC).
Dr. Pichop holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Management from the University of Yaoundé, Cameroon. He earned a Master’s Degree in International Affairs from the International Relations Institute of Cameroon and a Ph.D. in Applied Economics from Oklahoma State University.
Dr. Pichop has published over 20 peer-reviewed papers, books, and book chapters. He serves as a consultant for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and the International Centre for Forestry Research (CIFOR). He is a recipient of the Leadership Recognition Award at Oklahoma State University (2000), The NISOD Teaching Excellence Award (2015). He is also an ENACTUS Sam M. Walton Free Enterprise Fellow. Dr. Pichop is the current President of the Kappa Beta Delta International Honor Society’s Board of Directors, and founding Partner at BrightWay Cameroon, a consulting firm.
