Biography

Dr. Earl Godfrey is a Professor of Accounting at Gardner-Webb University, where he has been working for over 30 years. He has served the university in various administrative capacities as Chair of Undergraduate Programs in traditional and evening programs and as Director of Online Learning for a decade. He received undergraduate degrees from the University of South Carolina (Psychology), Spartanburg Community College (Computer Technology), and the University of South Carolina at Spartanburg (Accounting). He received an MBA from Winthrop University and returned to complete 18 graduate hours in accounting beyond the MBA. He completed a DBA in Accounting at Nova Southeastern University. At Gardner-Webb University he serves as Co-Champion and accreditation Steering Committee Chair. He has served ACBSP many times as an evaluator and is presently a mentor for three universities working toward accreditation. He serves at the national level as Treasurer of the ACBSP Board of Directors, member of the Executive Committee, and Audit Committee member.
