Using Learning Styles to Transform Business Education
The focus of the presentation will be on teaching excellence and the use of best practices for the classroom, assessment of student learning, and online delivery of learning. The presentation will be based upon the Amberton University Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), which enhances the learning and teaching environment through the integration of adult learning styles into the pedagogy of the University’s graduate business programs. The goals of the presentation focus on the use of adult learning styles to enhance graduate students’ abilities to analyze, integrate, and synthesize information in their program of study and to enhance faculty use of learning style centered pedagogy through the creation of assessments and instructional approaches. The program has provided graduate students the opportunity to enhance their learning process and has significantly impacted the teaching process among faculty by developing useful and innovative teaching techniques.
