Doctoral Assessment Task Force: Updates and Next Steps
Given the unique nature of doctoral programs in terms of learning outcomes, a task force was formed in early 2018 to explore options regarding doctoral-level assessment. The task force is collaborating on three assessment approaches including soft-skill evaluate using a 360-degree approach, double-blind dissertation evaluation using a common rubric, and standardized testing based on critical thinking exam questions. During this session, we will review the results thus far with the task force, and its assessment approach subgroups, to chart a path forward towards future pilot studies and implementation. Anyone with a current or planned doctoral program is encouraged to attend and participate.
