Cougar Tank: Enhancing Entrepreneurial Learning through Student-Led Programming

Cougar Tank, an educational leadership initiative, undertaken in 2017 by the Concordia-Chicago’s College of Business & Concordia Enterprise Group (CEG), is designed to provide a platform for business students to competitively exhibit their entrepreneurial ideas, business creativity, and leadership skills. Modeled roughly on the popular television program, Shark Tank, this student-led program allows students to experience a forum for both exhibiting business acumen as well as exercise creative capacity. The development & implementation of Cougar Tank as a vehicle in enhancing critical thinking & an innovation mindset, as well as the sharing of best practices for engaging such programming, will be the foci of this roundtable discussion. Session participants will consider how increasing these types of program offerings on campus generate an entrepreneurial value proposition for the student experience while providing for quality-driven learning outcomes outside the traditional classroom.
