Competency-based Compliance with ACBSP Standards
While ACBSP’s international standards play a pivotal role in advancing business education to ensure curricular relevance with contemporary issues, the requirement language remains tied to credit hours, semester terms, and traditional course and faculty nomenclature. Therefore, competency-based education (CBE) institutions are required to interpret and adapt their applications and reports to demonstrate compliance with those standards. From its own attainment of accreditation, Western Governors University will share its method for translating the CBE model to comply with ACBSP standards.
