Award-Winning Projects Designed to Develop Entrepreneurial Leaders

Dr. Bolin will engage attendees in three award-winning projects designed to develop entrepreneurial leaders in a fun, engaging manner. Participants will be arranged into groups where they will begin creating a product using tape and provided “junk”. Once they have developed their product, they would discuss how they would market their product. This Hunk-of-Junk project offers instructors the opportunity to engage students into actively thinking about ways to solve problems in a unique manner, one of the basic mindset shifts required for entrepreneurial thinking. The session will then be transitioned to discuss the entrepreneurial mindset with a brainstorming session with specific rules designed to help fuel the creative process and include all participants. Finally, attendees will learn the award-winning pitch perfect process used to baby-step entrepreneurs into delivering a well-polished pitch for their idea to an investor, a boss, colleagues, etc.
